A social media service announcement: YouTube is suffering some downtime today, with the site first becoming unresponsive over two hours ago, and now experiencing limited uptime for many users.

We’re seeing YouTube embeds on Mashable occasionally fail to load, while the site itself is frequently slow or displaying a maintenance message. We’re not aware of any planned downtime for the site, which currently serves a miraculous 1 billion video views per day.
